Royal Drilling is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Hamhama Borehole, a key water supply project located in Hamhama Village, Garowe District, Nugal Region. This project marks an important milestone in improving access to clean and reliable water for rural communities in Puntland.
The borehole was drilled to a depth of 283 meters and completed within 13 days, including a full 24-hour pumping test to verify aquifer performance and long-term sustainability. The project was implemented in partnership with Islamic Relief, supervised by the Puntland Water Development Agency (PWDA), and funded by Islamic Relief USA as part of the Water Wells in Puntland (WWIP) Project.
With the successful completion of the Hamhama Borehole, families, farmers, and local institutions now have improved access to safe groundwater for domestic use, livestock watering, and livelihood support. Royal Drilling remains committed to delivering high-quality water solutions that strengthen community resilience across Somalia.
